SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it is alarmed about the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The company issue established for intervention activities a large influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this sassa status reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to allow the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
